Gananoque features many dining options at a range of prices. The portions are usually generous and the pace is relaxed. In small towns, folks usually eat a little earlier and many restaurants will close as early as 9 p.m., so it's a good idea to call ahead before making plans. If you are planning on eating before the play, eat early and notify your server that you are heading to the playhouse.

A full list of Gananoque's eating establishments can be found here. If you are looking for fine dining, we can make a reservation at Trinity House Inn, the Athlone Inn or the Gananoque Inn. Other frequently visited restaurants are listed below.

Fine dining

The popular Gananoque Inn is a three minute walk from Manse Lane and offers two restaurants, Muskie Jakes, a more casual dining experience, and Watermark Restaurant, a fine dining establishment. Muskie Jakes features burgers, pasta and daily specials, with a patio overlooking the river or a fireplace for cooler evenings. Watermark offers French cuisine with regional accents. Watermark also offers excellent Ontario VQA wines and has an excellent view of the 1000 Islands.

Proprietor Jacques O'Shea (what a great Canadian name) is your very congenial host.
